Good value for money...However it wood be better if you have to adjust time once a year but not once the week

 "Couldn't be more pleased" 2009-08-10
By Rudi Xeno (Boca Raton, FL)
Having read reviews of this watch over several months I decided to give the 8926 a try. It didn't hurt that Amazon had temporarily lowered the price to $79 either. Frankly, I didn't know what to expect when it was delivered.

Some Background

Over the past 30 something years I've purchased several fine watches including a Rolex Submariner and an Omega Speedmaster. The Rolex now resides at the bottom of the ocean off of Block Island while my Omega still sits in my watch case and occasionally on my wrist. Understand that both of these watches were purchased back when these companies were just known for manufacturing fine watches. This was back in the pre-bling days so I paid nowhere near the ridiculous prices being asked these days.

Over the years I owned my Submariner I'd guess I spent somewhwere in the neighborhood of $700 having it serviced and maintained. That still didn't prevent the bracelet or clasp from failing resulting in its current place of residence.

Invicta Pro-Diver 8926

When my yellow Invicta Box arrived I was pleasantly surprised by the appearance of the Pro-Diver. If you've owned a Submariner, you won't be disappointed by the appearance of this watch. You'll find the weight, fit and finish to be quite similar. While I chose the Omega-style bezel, this watch is also available in the original coin-edge style of the Submariner.

But more important than the appearance of the watch has been its performance. After wearing it daily for several months it has performed flawlessly. Its accuracy has settled to within 2 minutes a month. The bezel which was stiff at first is now easily adjusted. While the 316L Stainless Steel will pick up fine scratches I find that it adds to the look of the watch. I mean, I don't want the watch to look like I just took it out of the box forever. The mineral crystal is sufficiently scratch resistant that after several months of daily wear it is still unmarked.

Look, I could go on for another few hundred words, but the bottom line is this. At under a hundred bucks the purchase of this watch is a no-brainer. If your need is for a rugged, attractive, well constructed, accurate automatic watch rather than a famous logo, this is the watch to buy.

 "6 Weeks Old & Leaking Water" 2009-08-07
By Neil Lucia (Southeastern United States)
I actually bought the battery powered version but because I had already given it a review, it won't let me add another review. I have had the watch 6 weeks. It is now leaking. I saw moisture on the inside of the crystal and after closer inspection saw water rolling around inside of the watch. The warranty required me to send $25 shipping and insurance and it cost me another $10 for shipping and insurance to send it to Invicta. I have over $100 into the watch. I checked the pin and it was screwed down tight and I never took the back off as it came with a working battery. It is a great looking watch and the battery powered version I got kept great time. But, leaking water after 6 weeks is unacceptable. You might want to look elsewhere. And, I don't know if it's even going to be repaired properly.

 "Gee,is that a .....?" 2009-07-31
By K. Smith (San Diego, Ca. USA)
I bought this watch two years ago,mas o menos.I delayed sending in a review to see what the watch was really like.I received the watch from the seller in rapid time and when I opened the box,the watch was set to the right time and date and it was running! No BS.It does have a definite resemblance to the other high-priced item.My watch has never given me a single problem. If you wear it daily,it stays wound for about 36 hours. The uni-directional bezel on mine was scalloped, not coin edged.I understand that variations of this model have either-or bezel types.Mine was a bit problematic to turn at first, but as it loosened up with use it was no problem. The stainless case and band are first-rate,as is the mineral glass crystal. There is ample adjustment in the band, and the case and screw down crown are 100% water tight. In all,the watch is attractive, keeps excellent time, and is an attention-getter,("Gee,is that a R....?").This watch is all that you could want without paying a bundle. After all,if you want an investment,go to your banker. If you want a great watch, buy this one.You can register your watch with Invicta online to validate your guarantee.Function, quality, looks, and value. What's not to like?

"Nice watch at a reasonable price" 2009-07-08
By Orange (FL USA)
This is my first automatic watch and I like it very much. Time-keeping of this watch is good (not larger than 1 minute per week)if used everyday. It is also a beautiful watch.

Some tips about this watch:

1 I find rotating wrist is more effective than swing arm to wind the watch.

2 Be a little bit patient when it is just shipped to you. It may take some time (longer than written in the manual, but less than one month ) to bring the watch back to normal after it has stopped during shipping.

3 I have read some comments reporting really bad situation with their buying like loose second hands, receiving used watches. I do not know where they buy theirs but I got mine directly through Amazon and had no problems so far.

4 I have to say, this watch is a copy of Rolex Submariners, with decent quality and much lower price. If such similarity makes you feel bad then do not buy it.
