This stylish watch is suitable for both professional and casual wear, and it's complemented by a contemporary black resin strap. It includes a stopwatch function that can measure events down to 1/100 of a second for the first 60 minutes (and down to 1 second from 60 minutes to 100 hours), and it offers elapsed and split time modes, and 1st-2nd place times. Other timekeeping features include:

  • 3 Daily Alarms
  • Hourly Time Signal
  • 12/24 Hour Formats
This timepiece also features an Auto Calendar (pre-programmed until the year 2039), ±15-second accuracy per month, Afterglow backlighting, and water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet)--offering protection from accidental splashes as well suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and light recreational diving. This solar-powered watch has a battery life of up to 5 months on a full charge (without further exposure to light).

This multi-band radio-controlled watch receives a time calibration signal transmitted from several locations across the globe (the U.S. and Japan), and it has an auto receive function (up to 6 times per day). You can choose to automatically receive this signal four times a day, or manually update the watch to the atomic clock.

 "Watch Problem Solved" 2009-09-02
By Stephen Metzger (greater boston, ma)
C'mon... Solar, atomic clock time sync, easily readable, inexpensive. What more could you ask for?

I had been looking for a watch to complement my Casio Triple Sensor Pathfinder, which I love, but it quite gigantic. The Pathfinder for adventure, the Waveceptor for work and more formal occasions. This watch will actually fit under a dress shirt cuff and looks pretty good. No one will mistake it for a Breitling, but it looks just fine and has received compliments. I did not want all the goofy printing and markings on the bezel - just the time and date, please, and look good doing it.

Yes, there is a lot of button pressing in the correct sequence to set it up, but once done this thing should be good for a lifetime. Thenceforth it corrects itself and charges itself without you having to think about it. I left it on a bright window sill after receiving it until the charge indicator registered 'HI', and it hasn't dropped from there since even though I never consciously make an effort to expose it to light. It gets enough just from doing whatever I do. I am hoping this is a 20 year watch. Highly recommended.

Works just as stated. Read the instructions and sit back and watch as this watch sets itself. Durable band nice design.

 "great watch" 2009-08-30
By Will Allen
Over the first month of wear this watch has proven to be rugged, and practical. It is nice enough looking in person to wear out, but tough enough to endure sports wear. The radio setting feature works great, and the solar powered aspect keeps it running beautifully.

"Cannot selelect US home city on this watch!" 2009-08-27
By M. Kovac (Berkeley, CA)
In principle this watch would be teriffic, except that I cannot set a US home city. I'm following the instructions in the booklet which is ridiculously small with print only readable with a magnifying glass. Page E-14. Pushing the button A should reveal a flashing US. On this watch, it is only flashing either JP 40, JP 60 or AT...This helps me nothing and renders 90 percent of the desired functions of this watch useless.

Then I set the watch manually and left it at AT. Promptly overnight, it reset the time 4 hours ahead, so instead of 9am it now shows 1am (or pm, who knows).

What a waste of my time...

Since Casio support is not helping either, this item is going back for a refund!
