 "Best Value" 2009-08-18

I went through a lot of research before buying this watch, and if you are looking for a good Digital sports watch, then look no more. The temperature sensor an compass are pretty accurate.

"Casio Digital Compass Sports Watch" 2009-07-15
By C. Courtney (Sugar Land (Houston), TX)
Well the watch is accurate. Fairly simple to use. Very visible in all lighting conditions.

The compass is fairly accurate, but only stay's active for a short period of time (a few seconds) before it goes away. It would be nice to stay in that mode for a longer period of time.

The band is not that comfortable and is what I'd expect on a watch that costs less than $20, not what I expect from a watch costing around $50.

"Compass as Reliable as Broken Clock" 2009-07-14
By M. McCormick (Madison, WI USA)
OK, the compass in the watch idea. Great. However: the MAJOR FLAW in this approach is that the compass is acutely sensitive to the angle of presentation such that actually using it for anything beyond rough cardinal direction is bound to get you only further lost and confused. Do not even attempt to use it as a hand bearing compass and NEVER EVER try to use it on a boat. Frankly, I think you could have as much or more accuracy using moss on trees, the north star, sunrise/sunset, even forecast wind direction (migratory direction of newts for christsakes). I love a product that can give you three significant digits of utterly misleading information at a time when you really might have wanted to rely on it. It is kinda like reading a broken clock. Just get a GPS and be done with it. Or how about a plain old compass. Face it, this is a digital watch with countup/countdown timers, dual time zone and a backlit screen - and a random direction generator that suffers from truthiness. It provides the comforting illusion that at any moment, you can pull a MacGiver move and know your heading (+/- 90 degrees). That good enough for you? Then by all means buy it. Oh, and get a personal EPIRB too, you'll need it.

 "Excellent - Love it" 2009-07-02
By Bill Milam
I love the watch. Previous watch was a Timex Expedition which I liked a lot. Wanted the Compass and somehting that was "more" water-resistant. This watch met thos conditions. Only thing I wish was that the illumination lasted for a few seconds after pressing the button instead of going off immediately after releasing it. I find the temperature and compass readings accurate. All-in-all, great watch.
