The Timex Midsize/Unisex Ironman Sleek Digital Watch is designed to survive the tough workouts of a training triathlete. The watch is constructed with a lightweight resin case, a diamond shaped black resin bezel, and a black resin wristband with a secure buckle clasp. A durable mineral window shields the digital-gray dial face, which displays the time as well as the day, date, and month. Four black buttons decorate the bezel--mode, stop/reset, Indiglo, and set/recall--while a prominent black start/split button rests below the six o'clock position and tracks up to 30 laps. This athletic timepiece is powered by digital-quartz movement and is water resistant to 330 feet.

 "Great Watch!" 2009-10-04
By Marissa G. Nonaka (Concord, CA USA)
I love the watch. I've been wearing it for about three weeks now and the only complaint I have is that some of the print on the wrist part of the watch has worn off (this is where it says "50 Feet etc" I don't know what else it says since I can't read it). It's not an integral part of the watch at all, so really no loss to me. The watch is perfect for my needs. Fast as heck delivery time.

 "Timex Ironman" 2009-10-03

As described, lightweight, easy to use (with directions) - I've had it for about 6 weeks and it hasn't fallen apart at all as some others have stated.

 "Can't go wrong..." 2009-10-03
By French Freak (Atlanta, GA)
I bought this watch to replace one of the same model that I purchased roughly 6 years ago, which had frozen up and stopped responding to the buttons. I assumed it had just reached its maximum life span (whadya want from a $40 watch?). But shortly after the new watch arrived, the screen went completely blank, which makes me wonder if all it needed all along was a new battery - if/when the same happens with this one, I'll try battery replacement before getting a whole new watch! Anyway, the first watch saw me through 6 years of almost daily wear, served as my alarm clock, timed everything from runs to restaurant wait times...and never missed a beat. I got this one two months ago, and so far, it's every bit as good as the first model. The buttons are big enough that even clumsy frostbitten fingers can manage them, the controls are intuitive, and the display is clear and easy-to-read. I've seen a number of complaints about water resistance in the reviews, and I can't speak to that - I used my old Timex Ironman Triathlon to time lap swims (on my wrist/in the water) and never had any problems, but I haven't tried it with this one yet. (And if the directions say not to press the buttons underwater, I probably *won't* try it with this one.) I would also agree that the strap for this one feels a little more brittle than the strap for the first one, BUT I haven't seen any hints of cracking or breaking (again: my original Timex Ironman Triathlon went 6 years without any strap breakage whatsoever). I've also seen some complaints about discoloration and the shiny finish on the face rubbing off. All I can say to that is: it's a SPORTS watch, not a fashion statement. Yes, the light edges of the strap get a little discolored. And yes, the shiny finish on my last one (the purple model) rubbed off over time (the silver on the face of this one is a matte finish, so I don't know if the same thing will happen)...it's FAR more important to me that the thing works properly and lasts a long time. Which, in my experience, it does! :-)

 "Great multi-use watch" 2009-09-13
By Cris-t (Pennsylvania)
I love this watch for several reasons: 1. I am a nurse and wanted a watch that I could wear to work and also be able to wash/disinfect it. I wash it with warm soapy water after every shift. 2. The display is easy to see. 3. Also, as a nurse it's easy to see the seconds. 4. I love that it has an alarm. I use it for so many things like timing my dinner if I'm busy doing something else and may not hear the oven alarm; I set the alarm to remind my son to take his medication at the same time everyday; I set the alarm to give me a warning that it's almost time to pick up the kids from school; etc. 5. I also use the timer a lot to time my workouts. 6. It's comfortable. 7. It displays the date and can also be set for military time which we use at the hospital. 8. It's versatile and great for everyday use. 9. I had the same watch and when the battery died I took it to one place where they said that the battery couldn't be replaced (don't know if that was really true, I never got to take it anywhere else because I lost the watch.) I was going to get something different but after looking at a lot of other watches I ended up getting the same one because it has everything I need!

"Good runners watch for high school girl runner" 2009-09-10
By D. Watt (Springfield VA)
We purchased this watch for our daughter as she entered her senior year and the fall cross country season. She finally admitted that a watch could help her track her summer training runs, since she had taken up to keeping a running journal. The TIMEX WOMEN's IRONMAN watch is easy to use. She (17 year old) has had no issues or problems. The big thing with teens is not to look like a geek with a huge ugly watch. I'm sure if this had a nice pink strap it would have been a home run; otherwise, it's a good option for the girl runner who is not keen to wearing a watch.
