This is a great, basic, simple watch. There's nothing wrong with it but the ticking... if you're usually in a quiet workplace or whatever, this watch'll really annoy you with its ticking.

I would like to give an update on this watch which was purchased almost 3 years ago through Amazon. I'm a remodeling contractor and, frankly, I expected this watch to last about 2 months with the rigors I have put it through. Well it's going strong after only 1 battery change, about 5 strap changes, and polishing the scratches on the plastic crystal with toothpaste numerous times. I have hammered with sledge hammers, gotten it covered with mud, and rarely take it off for weeks at a time. It gets wet in the shower every day and, yes, if I hold my hand under or in water for more than a minute or two, the crystal will fog up. But it always drys and was never meant to be submerged in water. Water resistant does not mean waterproof. (Contrary to a previous poster who claims it is supposed to be "water resistant" to 30 meters. I don't think so.) This is one tough little watch that keeps excellent time, and I would also have to take issue with the poster who claimed it was a childs' watch. Only if his children bust up concrete, tear down walls, and pump out flooded basements.

Got this watch cause it was cheap and looks good, so I guess i dont have much to complain about...BUT, i will. wore it for no more than two weeks, went swimming with it on, was totally fogged in and now has water inside the face. It is supposed to be water resistant to like 30 meters or something. Was a waste of $25. Not even sure if worth the headache to try and get refund or new one yet...oh well, cause it is a great simple looking watch.

I had a Timex Camper watch 21 years ago and used it until 1992 when it totally died. In 1992 I found a digital Timex with a Li battery and it works great. Now, I noticed that Amazon has the original Camper Timex, so I bought one. Both tell better time than my (genuine) Rolex watches. The only tough part is finding the nylon straps for the Timex watches, but eventually I find them :-)
