I bought this model of this watch over 12 years ago and wore it everyday to work. The last time I thought it needed a battery it had just quit working. The only reason thath I don't give 5 starts is because the mineral of the face is not so hard as you spect from a Timex and it become sratched easy.

I love this watch! It's very attractive and Easy to Read 'er! I had an Easy Reader years ago, without the date. It's still in a drawer at home looking used, but it still worked after years of use. So, I am confident this new one will last me for years, also. To the lady who doesn't like the date setting, read the directions. It only takes a few seconds to change the date. If it won't work the way the instructions claim, send it back and get one that does because you'll be needing to change the date a few times out of the year. I paid $28 on amazon for mine with free super saver shipping which only took five days. I highly recommend this watch and I highly recommend shopping on amazon.com. No, I am not an employee!! ;)

It's easy to read the time, and the watch itself is thin and comfortable to wear. The light is bright enough to be quite effective. However, the date is too small to see, and the only way to change the date is to crank through all the hours of all the days between when the watch was set and today. This one was way off, and I am updating it a few days at a time. Perhaps the calendar and I will meet somewhere in the middle. Overall, I am quite happy with the watch.
