great watch, have had it for two weeks now and no complaints about the functionality. aesthetically pleasing as well. however, the sound is driving me mad. MAD I TELL YOU! the first night i received it in the mail i was giddy like i always am after a new toy and wore it until i went to bed. mind you i am busy during the day so i hadn't the time to sit down in a quiet environment. as i lay on my pillow and let out a contented sigh, i heard a tick...tick...TICK...tick...TICK

this thing is driving me mad. this sporadic continuous ticking, i haven't had a good nights sleep until i visited my parents and stashed the watch safely in the basement where it will do no more harm
do not buy this watch unless you have a soundproof 4x4 box to put this in, unless obnoxiously loud ticking turns you on...whatever floats your boat

I tend to be hard on watches so don't like to spend a lot. I liked the look and simplicity of this one, especially the non-plastic wristband. The reviews referred to how noisy the ticking is, so I was a bit worried--but this is fantastic. The ticking is not audible to me--I can sleep with it on or near me. I am outside a lot and it has held up extremely well. I love the look, the indiglo, the black watch face, the buckle wrist band. I highly recommend it!

You get what you pay for with this watch. It's not special, it tells the time. I bought this for a friend who is joining the USMC, so he needs a watch that is uniform compliant. About a month after I gave it to him, we went surfing, and there was water vapor in the watch, which explains why I have it 3 stars. It is supposed to be water resistant to 30m, yet it failed only under a couple feet. Now we have to write to TIMEX to get a refund. This might just be a production fluke, but other than that, it seems like a good watch so far.

This is the second one of these I've owned. Great watch, but the strap is just what you'd expect from China. Shame on you Timex, the old cordura strap should have remained.

Just be sure to check the face diameter.. it was abnormally small.. looked like a kid's watch or dare I say.. women's watch. I returned the item.
