 "Not worth the trouble" 2009-08-24

If you expect any quality, don't bother. This was a Chinese product that was poorly machined and created. It went quickly and nicely into the trash, I was so disappointed.

 "no good" 2009-07-04
By Edward D. Stevens (Georgia)
This tool is no good for removing screw on backs--the pins are too loose, and will not hold in the slots on the back of the watch. Also the removable pins on the tool will not slide out of one of the holes in the tool.

 "Fragile." 2009-08-11

The band pulls apart from the watch case, the buttons pop off, and the paint flakes off.

In short, a rather fragile watch that will work for anyone that won't really do much with it.

 "Work Horse" 2009-07-22
By Richard J. Metzler (L. A.)
This is the 3rd or 4th of these that I've bought.

This has the perfect combination of features that I need.

I especially need the interval timers that I use with my clients and students for different exercise drills. All of it's features work as they should. The watch is comfortable and the dual time feature works great when I'm traveling to a differnt time zone.

The only reason that I've had to replace them is that usually around the 2yr mark, it dies and I figure that I'll just get a new one rather than send it in or get a battery or whatever.

I hope that if and when they quit making this model, that they continue with a new model that still included the interval timers and dual time.

Like many forms of their watches, I really think that if Timex is smart about their decission making on what watches get what features, they'll find that this one is needed in the line-up...good work so far...

 "Great Watch!" 2009-07-17
By TQ
I love this watch! It's a little bigger than my older Ironman Watches but it's very practical---large display on screen, securing mechanism on strap, and easy to use functions. Everything is very intuitive and straight forward and the memory splits with storage are awesome for working out. The Flix system is cool, but I haven't really found much of a need for it yet. Overall, for the price it's a great watch.

 "Superb Value" 2009-07-17
By A. Darr (O-H----I-O)
As far as watches go, it's hard to beat this watch for the money. I'm a very active individual, and have considered going to the next level with my watch (i.e. heart rate, altimeter, thermometer) but have been reluctant to pull the trigger on a $300+ watch. So I stick with this timeless (no pun intended) classic. At the end of the day, what makes the watch so good, is that it just works! Anyone who is remotely familiar with a watch knows that $43 is an excellent price for something that you'll have 5 years (at least). And for that money the watch does exactly what you want it to. The watch has a timer, chronograph, dual time zones, and excellent alarms (you can set 5 different alarms). It is my go-to companion at the gym or outdoors. I had a FLIX about 4 years ago that I lost, and replaced with this model. This model's Indiglo/Night Light/Whatever-you-call-it is phenomenal. My old FLIX was not easy to see with the indiglo at night, but this watch has fantastic contrast when the indiglo is on.

And the indiglo is easy to use without actually pressing the button every time. By pressing and holding the indiglo button for three seconds the watch goes in to night mode. In night mode any button press, or a flick of the wrist turns on the indiglo for three full seconds. It gives you an opportunity to check the time, your pace while running, whatever you may need. It may seem gimicky, but the FLIX feature is actually very nice. Imagine walking down the sidewalk, holding hands with your child or significant other, and you want to check the time. Just flick your wrist and look at your watch - no need to let go of their hand and press and hold a button. I know that seems minor, but it will amaze you how much you'll love the FLIX feature.

To comment on the alarms. You can have up to five programmed in the watch, and they are easily activated or deactivated with the push of a button. The alarm itself is great, because it's annoying as heck. It's more than just a beep-beep, it's this bizarre, loud almost music-like tone that is certain to wake you.

In a nutshell, you can't go wrong with this item. Would make a great Birthday or Christmas/Holiday gift for anyone high school and up.

BUY!

"another statistic for the failed Casio Exilim EX-V7" 2009-08-25
By Platinum Chef (Pasadena, CA USA)
got it as a gift ..loved it! excited with the quality of the pics taken, but the best mode/setting is just best left on AUTO or "BS" best shot. no BS. after I started having fun with picture taking..took it for a short trip and had placed the camera in the protective case and in my pocket. After taking it out to take some pictures, the camera prompted "Camera stabilization not available". Was quite upset and went online to find a lot of reviews here and other sites of unhappy owners of the EX-V7. I went to the Casio website to get help. They denied me of a download of their current driver. You have to registered for the products in advance, perhaps it was the reason why I enter the product code under the base of the camera to allow the download links. It "failed". So I looked up the Trade Up program and found out that my camera is now only worth $57.00 for me. If anyone don't want their broken camera, I'll buy it from you for less ( make me an offer or below $20 ) to get more added credit to get a step up camera. Write me at hotmail : hugh_

"Ran fast before it died." 2009-08-17
By Paul Ferwerda
I had this watch for just over a year before it failed on me and stopped working (53 weeks to be exact, just out of warranty). I believe it failed because the water seal failed as it stopped while I was swimming and there was moisture inside the glass. I had swam with it many times before so this was a surprise.

I liked the hands that were readable at night as well as the snooze alarm. The face of the watch scratched way too easily however, and that made it difficult to read the numbers sometimes. The watch gained time so that at the end of each month I'd be five minutes fast. The fact that analog hands were set separately from the digital time (and could only be set by going forward) made it hard to keep analog and digital times in sync and correct.

I think I'm going to look for something with a more scratch resistant face.

 "Good watch, scratches easily" 2009-08-10
By Greenleaf36
I really like the appearance and the utility of this watch. The big downside is that the face scratches easily. I had the watch for only a couple days and there are already some visible scratches. That being said, if you are looking for a stylish but functional watch and can deal with some scuffs, its a good watch.

UPDATE:

As I mentioned, the watch scratches very easily, but I was able to buff the scratches out with toothpaste and toothbrush, then put two light coats of clear semi-gloss varnish on the watch face. This covered the scratches and hardened the face and therefore upgraded the watch.

"A Great Watch For The Money!" 2009-08-09
By Cool Rod (Miami FL)
I like this Casio watch a lot.

First of all it is inexpensive, and for me it's a work watch not a dress watch.

It keeps very accurate time. I have an atomic clock and the watch isn't off by much ever. The digital readout on the black face is easy for me to read even without my reading glasses. The analog hands contrast against the black face very well and I can read those without my glasses too.

Once I had it set up to my liking, which was simple and fast, I haven't had to reset anything. It has a lot of features that I don't need so I don't bother with them.

The wristband is thin and short. I can see how it could be broken if it snagged on something. If you have large wrists the band will be too short for you. I have thin wrists and it fits me well, but bigger wrists would be a problem. On the other hand, if you have normal or small wrists then this is a good band for you.

I recommend this watch because it is inexpensive, legible, and accurate. It looks good too as a bonus.

"Cool looking easy to read but scratches way too easily" 2009-08-04
By Scott (NJ)
I bought this in January of 08 and the face glass is very badly scratched up from careful wearing. Just a slight brushing on a door, table or any object puts scratches on it and after a while it gets where you can't see the time without the scratches getting in the way. The little strap piece that you slide the extra end of the band into broke off too. Other then that the watch is great and works well. I decided to replace it with a G-Shock because of the inset face design to prevent scratches. (G-Shock Men's Watch G-Shock Youth Culture G-306X-1ADR - WW)

"Good Casio/Small, hard to reach buttons" 2009-08-25

As always, Casio makes bomb-proof watches. The only down side on this watch is that the buttons are very low-profile, requiring one to use their fingernail to press them. This makes adjustments tough.

When I recieved this bag, it was not because I purchased it, it was simply because I purchased a Casio watch that qualified for a free bag, hence, this was the bag. It came with a zipper pouch in the front along with the top opening, and instead of the string straps, it was a wider strap which I thought was nice. No problems with the bag so far.
