This watch is the best! Aside from it's sophisticated design, this watch has good quality. It can even survive floods! I purchased this product a couple of months ago and sent it to my friend to the Philippines. Alas, the Philippines' capital suffered a major flood due to a very strong storm, as strong as hurricane Katrina last September and my friend's area was one of the many cities which were badly affected. Flood wreaked havoc and reached 15 feet in his area so only the tip of his house's roof is the only part of the house visible. Fortunately, his family survived. They tried to salvage some of their things and appliances that can still be used the following days and guess what he found, the KC watch, unscratched. It's still in the box and didn't even seem to move from where he'd left it. It's still on top of his dresser, almost submerged with thick mud brought by the flood. This watch proves to be a money well spent on. Aside from it's classic appearance and for enduring such calamity, it proves to be TIMELESS.

Very happy with this purchase. Some weight to it, but not enough to make it uncomfortable. Had to spend 2 dollars to have a couple of links removed.....no big deal. Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was it doesn't fit perfectly. The links are large enough that removing 2 of them left the band just a hair large and removing 3 of them made it too snug. So, I just wear it a little on the loose side. Would definately recommend.

I have had this watch for over a year now and it is amazing how it still gets compliments from strangers. The watch face is really cut at a perfect angle and gives the illusion of being much higher end then it actually is. The face has a super clean layout and the black chrome is an amazing touch to add to a watch. It has a very nice weight a little face heavy compared to the band but not obnoxiously so. I have had other nice watches and it is amazing that this watch pulls in by far more compliments than anything else I've worn on my wrist.

This Ironman ladies watch is a nice simple sport watch. I purchased it for my daughters 30th birthday. She is a runner and loves the watch.



The one problem with the watch is that the color, light lavender, is not easily noticed in the add and not noted in the product description.

I never wear a watch because I do not like anything around my wrist but since I started training for two half marathons I knew I need something to help me work on my pace and split times. I love the fact that it has a small face but large #'s. Definitely designed for a woman's wrist. I also love that fact that it easy to use & program. The only downside, which is definitely personal, is getting used to working with it on my wrist and that sweat doesn't move from behind it. Other than that worth the price!!

I've worn Timex Ironman watches for the past 13 years. This was the first time I switched to the Sleek version, and so far (4.5 months later), I'm still pretty happy with this watch.

The sleek styling is more attractive for everyday wear than the original Ironman, but still maintains the functionality. The face is a bit small for reading numbers while running, and I don't use it for serious training (I use a Garmin Forerunner 305), but for a casual run concerned with elapsed time, this is more than adequate. I wear it with most outfits, except for business attire or evening wear.

The grap and purple color is feminine but subdued, and I've received several compliments on it.

I like that just the numbers light up when using the Indiglo, meaning that it is much more discreet if you are in a darkened auditorium or theater and need to check the time. It does not glow like a small flashlight.

The paint is starting to chip off the face, but not very much. The paint on the buttons is about halfway gone.

I love the Polar heart rate monitors for accuracy. I had a cheap Polar HRM several yrs ago (like this one) and the battery lasted quite a while - a couple years. It's too expensive to send in for battery replacement (costs as much as buying a new HRM), so I bought a deluxe Polar HRM model the next time - approx. $250. The battery wore out really fast on the deluxe model and again, it was just too expensive to replace, so I just bought another cheap Polar HRM since I didn't want to make another investment in a "disposable" HRM. I plan to research HRM's and switch to another brand of HRM that has batteries you can replace yourself. The other con to this particular "cheap" model is that it picks up other people's heart rates in a spinning class where you are packed in. Otherwise, it's great if you are out biking on your own or in a cardio class that is more spread out. I love the Polar monitors, their durability, etc., but do not like the battery issue. I'm looking at the Garmins for my next one.

This is my first experience with a HRM and I love it! OK, the watch isn't the most stylish, but not bad. The strap fits comfortably around my chest and I forget it's even there. I don't always wear the watch because the treadmills at my gym work with the Polar chest straps so that's pretty convenient. I've had this for about a month, so no problems or extra cost getting the batteries replaced yet. I was amazed at how I was short changing myself on calories burned when I log my activity! Great product!



Also, I'm not so good with gadgets that have lots of buttons. This was easy to figure out and the instructions were pretty well written.

I bought this item for my mom as she cant see the tiny hands on analog watches clearly.

Good parts:

Display is clear and big. So, one can read the time without putting on the reading glasses.

It has a light which is bright enough to help one read the time in the dark.

It has a Stopwatch and Dual time and Alarm which is great to have.

The best part - a 10yr batt life. If it runs for 5yrs I would have got my value for money.



Not so good part:

It has a circular thing that counts every 10secs.. I feel it is only for fancy and serves no real purpose. Could have done without it.



All in all a very good watch that gives complete value for money.

I bought this watch 20 days ago. Consider these issues before the purchase. This watch is good for small wriste'd people like myself case diameter 34.6mm. Considering the 10 year battery life,people buy it to last 10yrs, but the case material is made of resin and it gets scratched easily. I already have some deep scratches and paint has worn off in 20 days. The strap is also resin and so you would need to air your hand where the strap lays daily. There is no count-down timer. I guess for a 5 bucks extra u might get a watch with a stainless steel case. Not a good watch for a long term purchase. That said the time,date and seconds are clearly visible,and it is very easy to setup and start using the watch.

Very disapointed in Amazon and Skagen for the handling of my skagen watch.

3 weeks after receiving the watch the crystal shattered. I contacted Amazon, they said I would have to contact Skagen, Skagen said it was not covered under warranty and would have to pay to have it repaired.

I feel this this was a very unprofessional way for Amazon & Skagen to handle this.

I got this watch to replace this guy and I'm satisfied. The Timex is too large and heavy for my wrist: the metal band couldn't get small enough and the heavy watch always made its presence known. The Skagen is also noticeably quieter than the Timex. Why?



The Skagen is thin and light and I have gotten several unsolicited comments about its attractiveness. I was surprised to see that the numerals are raised and lined in silver, not outlined in white as it seems from the photo.



The calendar will be too small for people with bad eyes, the band is a bit complicated to do and undo (it becomes easier with practice) and you have to use a screwdriver to change the size of the band.
