I have a Seiko kinetic watch. It had completed decharged because I had no worn it for months and I didn't realize that my old winder had quit working. After wearing it for one day it had built up a 'five' second charge (by this I mean when the test button was pushed the second hand move five seconds). After two days in this winder it was nearly discharged as indicated by the second hand doing two second jumps.



DO NOT BUY THIS WINDER if you own a Seiko Kinetic watch. IT DOES NOT WORK! Worse, it does not say this in the description.



For those who can use the winder please be aware that it does not have MULTI-settings... it has one switch with clockwise, counter-clockwise and off positions. That to my mind is TWO setting and TWO does not equal MULTI.

I needed a single automatic watch winder and didn't want to spend a lot. This fit the bill in that regard. However, it's performance is inconsistent. I have to fiddle with the plug every time I put the watch in it to make sure it runs. If I don't, there's a good chance it's not going to work right. I would spend a little more and get a different automatic watch winder unless you like having to remember to play with the plug every day.

No wonder they discounted this product from 19.95 to 3.95, it was a piece of junk. A knob immediately fell off which caused the spring loaded bed to fly across my desk with the two springs also flying out of the device. This rendered it useless so I could not even try it. Now I can send it back and pay more for shipping than the refund I will receive. This is a very bad deal and I am very dissappointed in both Micro Tools and Amazon. (added 3 days later) However, in response to my email, Micro Tools has given me a full refund including shipping costs. So product was defective, but customer service was good.

I successfully used this to resize the band on a Casio, and it was definitely easier than the makeshift blunt embroidery needle and meat mallet setup I'd been using before. It was worth it to be able to resize by myself and test different configurations. It also has two grooves to hold the band in case you want to do it the hammer and screwdriver way. Operation is pretty self-explanatory if you understand how metal watch bands are held together. However, think of this as a disposable, not an investment. You may in fact need those extra pins at some point, as they warp easily on more stubborn links, and you should be aware that the item is made of cheap, poorly-finished plastic. The depth adjuster setup is particularly atrocious. For the price, it's OK as long as it's cheaper than going to a shop, but when you add the shipping cost, I do think that this item could probably have been sold for less.



Tips: do not screw the pusher pins in too hard, as it can be hard to change them out, and make sure you check the size of the pusher pins; mine all appeared to be the same diameter, but others mentioned them being different. Keep a finger on the watch band to keep it from slipping. Tool will not fully push out pins, so have pliers (preferably coated to minimize chance of deforming watch pin) at hand to pull out pushed pins. When putting pins back in, push or knock the pin almost all the way into the link before using pusher.

The problems with this item are lack of instructions and the quality of the steel pin. Luckily I found some instructions on how to resize watch bands online and solved this problem. The pin for this tool is very soft steel and will quickly bend, forcing you to bend it straight again. You can usually get it to work but its extremely cheap and not recommended if you are doing multiple watches.

I replaced the battery this morning (hey I have 25 now, so I can replace at will!) but the battery indicator shows almost drained after only a couple of hours. I guess Caveat emptor still carries the day.

Bought these for my Omron Pedometer (which uses CR2032 batteries). I was enticed by the price (and the surprising high user rating), but in retrospect I should have stuck with a name brand. The battery that comes with the Omron and the Energizer battery I replaced it with each lasted 5-6 months. The BEST of these generic batteries lasted only 1 month, and the worst of the bunch lasted mere days. Very inconsistent from one battery to the next. You get what you pay for, and the price is not worth the hassle IMO. I would recommend Energizer. (I imagine Duracell, if they sell these kind, would also probably be good.)

I purchased this watch for my brother-in-law who is a construction laborer. He tears up everything on the job so I was seeking a durable, quality watch, that would be most likely to withstand the type of abuse it would endure. I reviewed multiple brands of watches and quickly decided on the Casio G-Shock series. Then chose this particular model primarily due to the styling, price, solar powered, shock resistant, waterproof and the atomic timekeeping function.



The watch is very stylish and attractive although masculine. It is not massive and over-sized as many watches of this type are. It is of a reasonable size, smaller than most diver watches of any brand and smaller than most G-Shocks. The watch did self-adjust utilizing the "atomic timekeeping function" shortly after opening the package. Since, it has been worn constantly except when he sleeps. It has been kayaking, is in fact waterproof, has withstood mild abuse from shock and maintained solid and accurate time. The watch is more or less trouble free as once you set the country code you need not worry about it. He has used the alarm on a couple occasions and the gold colored light will sufficiently light the face of the watch for checking time in the dark. I have not personally witnessed him using any of the watches other functions, such as stop-watch feature.



I would recommend this watch to anyone with a demanding job or who is routinely exposed to the weather and harsh conditions. Although I am not routinely in the elements I do intend to purchase myself one merely for the styling and fact it is waterproof/solar powered/self setting time. The price is excellent for this quality of a watch. Upon registering the watch at [...] they extended the warranty another year!

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. He had been looking for a sport's watch to wear on weekends or while exercising to replace the one he previously had that broke. This is his first GShock watch and he likes the look of the watch so much, that he always wears it with work attire during the week. I have read many comments about this watch. Some are favorable and some are not. My experience is that the technical support department is excellent. When this came out of the box I had no idea what to do and called the tech support after failing to find the information easily in manual. They could not have been nicer or more helpful. The watch keeps perfect time and it set itself to the atomic time signal in Colorado every evening. For the price you are getting far more than I am familiar with any competing brand. Easy to read and use this is a winner.

Jewelers charge too much nowadays to adjust your watchband. Moreover, if you adjust it yourself, you can try different sizings, move one link to the other side, etc. until you get it exactly how you want it. Standing at the jewelry counter, however, you're reluctant to tell them to try it another way, and worse yet, to tell them to put it back like it was the first time. This inexpensive tool lets you take out the little pins in the watchband without slicing your finger open with a steak knife, or whatever you were going to try. Adjusting a watchband without this tool is like trying to put a screw in without a screwdriver.

I found something on their website with convoluted instructions, which would take more time to follow than simply going to a jeweler. If you are looking to save some time and a few bucks bypassing the jeweler by getting this thing, don't do it. Too much aggrevation and a flimsy piece of equipment at that.

I recently bought an Omega Seamaster Professional Automatic from Amazon (excellent purchase) and needed to make the band smaller. I was somewhat reluctant to purchase this even with the overwhelming majority in favor of it. The Omega uses the solid pins with removable barrels and these really create a tight secure fit. I would say they are harder to remove than the cotter pin style.



As others have said, if you take your time, this pin remover works very well. I didn't even break the pusher pin on the device as so many others have. It does come with extras though. If you line the pin up and screw the pusher in SLOWLY and back it out if you feel too much resistance and then re-align and re-push, the pin will come out far enough that you can finish it with a pair of pliers.



I hate having to go to the jeweler and have stuff like this done, especially when they charge you for it. I have a jeweler that will normally do this for free, but it's still a hassle to have it done. I like that I was able to take my time and take as many links out and even add them back to get the perfect fit.



REMEMBER, as others have said, take your time and go SLOW. If you feel too much resistance while pushing, back the pin driver out, re-align and then try again. You'll know it when you encounter too much resistance, you'll also see the pusher pin start to slightly bend. Stop if you see that! Anymore and it will break.



Anyway, I'm glad I purchased this, because now I can professionally do any of my watches. I hope this review helps you.

This tool does serve its simple purpose of pushing the pin out of and into the band, but be careful-



1) You have to hold the band very carefully so that the push pin of this tool is aligned properly.



2) This tool would work well for a band with wider links. For narrower links, however, it will push it against the side at an angle and BEND the pin inside the link. Removing a link close to the clasp is a very finicky maneuver and you'll likely mangle the band. It'll be very difficult to bend it back into shape and you'll likely have to throw away the link. It was a very costly lesson for my new (expensive) watch.. fortunately, I had just enough links left to survive this trial by error.

This tool does just what it is intended for - it removes pins from watch bands.

The plastic base is set up with a space where the band fits in between the driving pin and the push block which is notched to allow the band pin to be pushed out of the link.

The tool is very simple to use with the only requirement being that everything be lined up. These pins are small diameter and if not correctly aligned they will bend and they will break. Use reading glasses if necessary to avoid operator error.

If you need to size watch band(s)and are even semi mechanically inclined, then get one and save the trip to the jeweler.
